Job Title: Contracted Membership Sales Representative 

Compensation: The position is compensated on a commission. 

RESPONSIBILITIES: Under minimal supervision this position's primary duty is selling Chamber membership investments to prospective non-member businesses and organizations by communicating the benefits and value of the Chamber. Providing detailed information on various programs offered through the Chamber and orienting the non-members to the Chamber. This position reports directly to and works under the direction of the CEO. Previous experience selling ''intangibles'' is helpful. Previous experience with a chamber of commerce is highly desirable.

Essential Requirements of the Position: Contact, acquire and sell new Chamber membership investments Schedule appointments and make personal visit with prospective members Close sales during onsite visits and through follow-up phone calls or visits. Actively seek new businesses and follow up appropriately Maintains knowledge of goals, objectives, values and services provided by the Chamber Remain informed of Chamber member investment benefits, Chamber events, etc. Generate leads and/or new memberships on a consistent basis, with minimal direction. Submit written membership sales report to CEO weekly through email.

SKILLS REQUIRED: - Strong organization, time management and multi-tasking skills - Detailed oriented - Proven sales track record - Knowledge about the West Plains community & business organizations - Self-starter with professional appearance - Working knowledge of Chamber Master is a plus - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Must have/maintain personal vehicle with proof of license and insurance - Capable of maintaining sensitive/confidential information - Must have the ability to foster the values of member relations - Exception people skills with an outgoing personality - Basic word processing and data entry skills
