Our Annual Best of the West Awards Gala honors outstanding leaders, businesses, organizations, educators, military personnel, and first responders in the West Plains. 

The Best of the West is our chance to really shine the spotlight on those who consistently go out of their way to go above and beyond to make the West Plains and the West Plains Business Community a better place.

This year, we are going to recognize outstanding members from the following categories.

Business of the Year categories:
Nominees for Small, Mid-Size, or Large Business of the year demonstrate one or more of the following characteristics:
    

  • Outstanding customer service and dedication to the satisfaction of their customers
  • Employment of innovative ideas or approaches to their conduct of business;
  • Exceptional growth through the creation of additional jobs;
  • Revenue growth
  • Volunteers in the West Plains community
  • Demonstrates economic support of the West Plains business community


Small Business of the Year
A West Plains Chamber Member business with 10 or fewer employees and demonstrates one or more of the Business of the Year characteristics listed above. 

Mid Size Business of the Year
A West Plains Chamber Member business employing at least 11 and fewer than 35 employees while demonstrating one or more of the Business of the Year characteristics listed above. 

Large Business of the Year
A West Plains Chamber Member business employing 36 or more while demonstrating one or more of the Business of the Year characteristics listed above. 

Most Uniquely West Plains 
A company that embraces the unique West Plains culture and exemplifies what it means to live and do business in West Plains.

Young Leader of the Year
The Young Leader of the Year Award recognizes and up and coming leader for their exceptional efforts to serve and enhance their place of business, or community and the overall West Plains. 

Business Leader of the Year
The Business Leader of the Year Award celebrates the extraordinary accomplishments of a West Plains Chamber Member and their impact on the overall business environment.

First Responder of the Year
Recognizes and celebrates those who go out of their way to keep us safe, our property secure and ensure the protection of our community in the West Plains. 

Educator of the Year for Higher Education
Celebrates a professional educator from a higher education institution who opens student minds and expands the realm of the possible for the next generation of local and world leaders. 

Educator of the Year for K-12
Celebrates a professional educator from a K-12 environment who opens student minds and expands the realm of the possible for the next generation of local and world leaders. 

Person of the Year
Celebrates an individual from the West Plains Chamber, who, through their dedication and service makes our community and the West Plains Chamber a better place.

Lifetime Achievement Award
Celebrates an individual who has spent a lifetime working for the betterment of the community through support of and participation in Chamber and other civic activities.
